How it works

Four steps, start to finish

Nothing is made until you have seen it and said yes.

  1. Old gold jewellery on the bench scale, reading 33.65 grams, ready to be remade Old gold is weighed in front of you and valued against the day's spot price.

    Tell us what you have in mind.

    WhatsApp or email is easiest. Send pictures, a budget, and a date if you have one.

    If you are near Centurion, come past instead, by appointment. Most custom work starts with a coffee and a look at what you are thinking of.

    We design it, and you see it before it exists.

    Two or three designs to look at, more if you are still deciding. Renders rather than sketches. Nothing is made until you say so.

    Half up front.

    The 50% deposit is what lets us source the stone. The balance is due when the piece is finished.

  4. A diamond band on the sizing mandrel, held against the letter scale Sized on the mandrel against the letter scale before it is finished.

    Two to three weeks.

    From the day you approve the design. We give you a realistic date rather than the one you want to hear, and tell you if it moves.

    Finding the right stone is almost always the slow part, and it is what sets the date.

    For Christmas, order by Friday 27 November. After that we can still make your piece, just not in time for Christmas.

What it costs

We work from a workshop in Centurion, not a shop, and you deal directly with the person designing and making your piece.

Our listed engagement designs start from R7,690 for the setting, and the stone is your choice: moissanite, lab-grown or natural diamond.

What you get either way

A lifetime guarantee on the workmanship. If something we made fails, send it back and we will fix it. No time limit and no charge. If a ring does not fit, we resize it free within 30 days, up to two sizes. You cover the postage.

That holds whether the piece was made for you or bought off the shop page. Damage from knocks, wear or accidents is not covered, but we will quote you for the repair.
